What is the Rosé Grand Tasting @Thessaloniki?
Wine Plus, in response to the established and growing need for consumers and professionals to be informed about all the developments in the world of rosé wines, is holding a parallel event to the Map of Flavours, exclusively dedicated to rosé wines. The 2nd Rosé Grand Tasting @Thessaloniki is taking place on Monday July 6th, 2020, at the Hotel Makedonia Palace.

What will you taste at the 2nd Rosé Grand Tasting @Thessaloniki?
The rosé wines of the exceptional vintage of 2019 will be gathered together in one venue and you will have the unique opportunity to taste them.
From faint pink, to salmon and rose-like, rosé wines of different colour, aroma and flavour tones, from every viticultural zone of Greece and some from abroad, will be waiting for you, neatly assorted based on their varietal composition.
Amongst them, one will be able to find the representatives of the main rosé origin designations, geographical indications and varietals, plenty of new releases and significant labels of the international vineyard.

Where is it held?
At the beautiful, outdoor veranda of the Hotel Makedonia Palace, right next to the seaside.

What are the hours of operations?
This year, there will be two time zones: 18:30 – 20:30 and 21:00 – 23:00
In the interim period, the venue will be emptied and preemptive disinfection of all the communal areas will follow.

What is the admission policy of the event?
Admission is 5€. It is valid for one time zone and includes an individual wine-tasting glass.
For wine and gastronomy professionals (Horeca, bars, wine bars), admission is free upon the display of their business card.
Persons under the age of 18 are not allowed, unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

The number of visitors will be strictly regulated this year, therefore it is advisable that anyone wishing to attend the tasting should make a reservation in order to avoid long waiting periods at the entrance.

How can I make a reservation?

Please note that the reservation is valid for one hour. For example:
o    If you select the time zone 18.30 – 20.30, it is valid until 19:30,
o    If you select the time zone 21.00 – 23.00, it is valid until 22:00.

May I make a reservation for both time zones?
Certainly! In this case, it is necessary that you fill in both forms for each time zone and purchase a ticket for each zone.

Until when can I make a reservation?
Until all the spots available for reservation per zone are booked.
The rest of the spots will be given at the entrance of the event.

Which are the measures to be taken in order to safeguard the protection of the visitors’ health?
The organizer, Wine Plus, having thoroughly studied the health protocols for hotels and the instructions for safe event organization, has drawn up its own protocol, modifying the conditions for the implementation of the events with the aim of complying with the strictest of regulations.

What about the photographic coverage of the event?
Photographic and video coverage of the 2nd Rosé Grand Tasting @Thessaloniki has been arranged by a professional photographer.  Due to the public character of the event, photos and videos will be used for promoting the event to the Media, printed and social.
Upon entering the event, visitors give their consent to the possibility of their appearing on photographs or videos which will be published.
